They stood by the shop window, clutching the yellow piece of paper, supposedly the receipt from their money transfer company that has just been found to have done a bunk.
They stood around looking lost. Looking shell-shocked, almost. As if a lightening had struck them! They bore all the signs of a life dishonoured.
In a matter of two days or so, they had found out, their entire life’s efforts had been rendered useless, their whole life’s collected hopes and plans had been set back a millions years… these were two men who did not look as if they had the physical stamina to take anyone on. Let alone being able to exert themselves much… They just stood around while others with more physical strength and stamina carried on the shouting, the talking and the general expressing of anger and demands…
These two men stood out from the rest.. In their looks of utter despair and loss.. The despair and the loss had taken over their ordinary expressions… The men were physically in Brick Lane… But their hearts and souls must have belonged a million miles away… looking for evidence that human beings really can be trusted… Looking for evidence that human life is worth living…. These men had come to Britain from Bangladesh ages ago… Sand for countless numbers of years they had battled against all odds to make the right amount of money, earn the right amount of income to feel solvent… And they had done practically everything under the sun to be able to feel solvent… And they almost felt solvent… They did d so when they placed the largest sum of cash they had ever seen in the hands of an outfit called ‘First Solutions’.
They had placed all their trust in the ‘First Solutions’ whom they trusted with the biggest sums of cash they had ever seen…
The two men were not related to one another in the ordinary sense. They were not relatives. They were not friends. They were not even close acquaintances.. But they were related in a deeper way. They had been robbed of the belief that you can trust your fellow human beings…They had been deprived of the one thing that would keep them going for all those years of battle…. Of hope!
These two men looked at the others, and at me in their foiling glances as our eyes made contact for the few seconds as we walked together back to Brick Lane. Those glances carried so many questions that I could not even begin to articulate. The questions however were articulated in their eyes. They were pure plaintive questions – as if at the rest of humanity…. How can people rob other people like this!!! Don’t they know they have robbed us of our very lives? Don’t they know what we have had to put up with to get the money they have stolen now?

This is the third time that we have had to ‘adjust’ the legal action programme to the intended party against whom he main burden of the constitutional aspect of our actions apply. This is because of the change in the components of the conduct of the holder of the office of Secretary of State in the UK Department for Transport. With the appointment of Ruth Kelly, we are faced with an even more sinister set of plotters for the Crossrail hole than had been anticipated `as based on the rational observations. ore o the irrationality of Ruth Kelly and Alistair Darling in the later parts of this legal update. As if Ruth Kelly’s appearance as the DfT secretary of State is not bad enough, we are again having to deal with Alistair Daring, the fronter who put the CrossRail Bill in the House of Commons back in February 2005. It was also daring whom we had forced to scrap the CRASSrail DIRT hole part of the Bill in March 2006 [see Alistair Darling’s forma; written statement as recorded in HANSARD dated 30 March 2006], After that, he was shuffled out of the Department by Blair who knew that darling was not able to deliver against the constitutional law demands that we were making on him. With the placing of the same person at the Finance ministry, Brown has created a very odd and more wrongheaded combination there as far as our campaign against the unconstitutionality of the entire CrossRail hole plot goes. We are in effect faced with two members of the Brown cabinet who are known disrespectors of constitutionality and democratic ethics. Ruth Kelly and Alistair Darling

A word about the venue: The Crossrail hole will be dug yards from the venue. Unless the community starts a new mobilisation now to finish off the remaining hole plot that is still contained in the ‘Crossrail Bill’ [now in the UK House of Commons]

So, does Gordon Brown have an even sicker sense of parody and irony tan has been ascribed to him so far?
What sort of world order is Gordon Brown likely to support. Or rather influence the creation of while he occupies the post as the Prime Minister of the UK?
The indications are already present in the line up of members of his cabinet that has been so far announced. It does not seem as though Gordon Brown is going to provide a difference in substance and for the better. Not if the attitude he has shown to the inner cities in the UK is anything to go by. He has kept in the cabinet someone who has been by all accounts an incompetent and a clearly reactionary, right-wing minister in the Tony Blair administration…
And this is being =generous about Ruth Kelly. Because of we bring in any discussion of her role as the Communities and Incohesion minister… we shall be engaged in a discussion that will be very disappointing about her role…. Again, that is being kind to Ruth Kelly…Why has he appointed Ruth Kelly Transport minister? Has he done this to finish off Ruth Kelly despite finding her ‘likeable’ [the alleged quality in Kelly that Brown has been reported to have cited for his retention of her in his cabinet] ? Or is his appointment of Ruth Kelly at Transport and of Alistair Darling as Finance Minister supposed to tell us in the East End something about the even more brazenly pro Big Business orientation of the Gordon Brown administration than had been exhibited by Tony Blair? Is this convergence of Crossrail crassness-promoters a signal so definitive that there should be no more questions about Brown’s affair with Big Business being so beyond any rational scrutiny? And is it the presence of Ruth Kelly as the Crossrail hole plot-perpetrating Departmental Minister aided and abetted by Alistair Darling the CrossRail Hole Bi presenter the Confident Parade of Perpetrators who are no longer stoppable as touts for Big Business who are going to dig the hole in the East End of on don and defy all sense? How is that going to do any good to your uttered intention to do better than Blair, Gordon?
We re-examine the roles thus far played by Alistair Darling, Ruth Kelly in the creation of a general atmosphere which is then [as they may be hoping] usable to justify their CrossRail hole assaults on the East End of London
Khoodeelaar! will now seek the interventions of the UK courts system that we have been preparing for over the past years
There could not be a more appropriate number of targets for the Khoodeelaar! series of court actions to stop the Crossrail hole assaults on the East End of London – Alistair Darling the very man that put the awful ‘CrossRail Bill’ in the UK House of Commons in February 2005. It was Alistair Darling who formally pushed the same Bill at the so-called Second Reading in the same UK House of Commons on 19 July 2005. In formally certifying the ‘Crossrail Bill’ as compatible with the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms on hat occasion, Alistair Darling committed an act of gross constitutional fraud and deception. As an allegedly trained lawyer, Alistair Darling ought to have known that that assertion about that Bill being compatible with ‘the Conventions’ was at best an irresponsible one and at worst an offence against the very concept of legitimacy of parliament assertion was a blatant lie. Khoodeelaar! said so at the time. In the two and a half years that have passed since Darling introduced the Crass Bill in the House of Commons, Khoodeelaar! has said this on hundreds of occasions. We have also put dozens of questions to both Darling [when he was still at the Department or Transport] and to Douglas Alexander who was placed to succeed him there. We have included the key question – what is the evidence that the contents of the Crossrail Bill is compatible with the ‘Conventions’? Darling has not replied. Nor has Alexander. So we are putting the same question to Ruth Kelly today. And to Alistair Darling again,. and is saying so to Darling today 29 June 2007 the day after Darling was widely reported as having been appointed UK finance Minister [‘Chancellor of the exchequer] by Gordon Brown.

– Gordon Brown MUST not commit political suicide by letting Big Business Loot the Uk public resource in return for short-term ‘electoral’ delusion – Continuing the Khoodeelaar! advice to Gordon Brown as he is widely expected to take over formally as the official occupant of the address of UK Prime Minister in a matter of hours – Gordon Brown will commit political suicide if he gives in to the pressures, being perpetrated by Big Busies and City of London interest who are falsely saying that without ingratiating himself to Big Business even more deeply than he has already done, Brown risks losing any snap general election that he may yet call . The calculations from the really Tory interests who control the Big Business agenda is that by pushing Brown into a corner – just as we have shown the Crossrail hole plotters were doing over the past months as they accelerated their own promotion of the so-called ‘South East’ economic factor – they will cause Brown to give away the remainder of the ‘family silver’ for Big Business to loot, thus bankrupting the remaining public resources …. The UK economy is not the prosperous one that even Brown promotes…
The level of personal and structural indebtedness as has been confirmed in the past 24 hours plaguing most families is so high that the bubble is expected to burst sooner than many pluggers of the ‘miracle’ persist in claiming it will do…
The propagandists in fact do not concede that the UK economic bubble will burst in the near future… The truth is that it may go burst far sooner than they have the intelligence or the honesty to admit. And it is the context of this bubble that Crossrail hole Bill is untenable and it must be scrapped…. For far too long the City of Lon don interest have promoted Crossrail hole plot as a bigger transport solution – and economic boom-maker than it ever could be .. As is seen in what the FT is going to do in its Wednesday editions …. In another piece promoting the City of London interests' desire for a Gordon Brown dependence on Big Business, the Financial Times [=FT] is again wrongly, falsely and untenably linking Crossrail to the future of the Uk economy…
What Big Business wants is to decimate the power that an able and independently active human resource unit can do for its own future… Autonomous individual human resources are not compatible with the exploitation agenda of Big Business… That is why they never stress the importance - let alone acknowledge the pivotal role - of creating the environment for growth in human resources… They do the opposite….. That is the way that Big Business, globalising exploiters and abusers of nature and natural resources have destroyed - and are destroying - the natural and national [in the plural] wealth for far too long…..
